Rooted & Rising

Following a strenuous and draining year of homeschooling my youngest child, I found myself driving straight to a yoga class the first day after summer camp drop-off. The unusual thing about this is that I had only been in one yoga session before, and that was 8 years ago. But on that day, I found an opportunity to connect my spirituality to my body work during my hour long communion with God. As I started to explore deepening my practice of "whole body worship," I began to look for additional yoga opportunities that were aligned with my sense of deep spiritual connection.
When I found a local Holy Yoga class, I started exploring their training program and found that one of the specialties (following the initial 225-hour certification instruction) included Trauma-Sensitive training, something that would be a significant support for my own children who come from a trauma background. That cinched it for me, and I began my training at the beginning of 2015, becoming certified in June of 2015. I also teach Chair & Senior Yoga, Kids Yoga and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga.
I am a chaplain at CHOC Children's Hospital in Orange County and and a mentor for Intensive Treatment Foster Parents for Olive Crest, pursuits which require me to be well-versed in the art of self-care. I am thrilled to bring this practice to Los Angeles and Southern California.

I received my Bachelors degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition
from the University of Illinois. I then completed my Holistic Nutrition
certification from Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
In 2012 I founded Health, Hope, and Happiness, a Christian Health
Coaching practice that specializes in counseling clients, one on one to
improve their health through a better diet, lifestyle changes, and prayer. My goal for each client is that they experience the “life to the fullest” that Jesus promises in John chapter 10.
I also became a certified Holy Yoga instructor in 2012. Holy Yoga
changed everything for me. It healed my nagging lower back injury that I had suffered with for over 5 years and it relieved stress and anxiety I
had been holding on to. I currently teach Holy Yoga classes in Long
Beach and Cypress, as well as one-on-one pre/post-natal sessions.
I live in Lakewood California with my husband Greg and my new baby
boy Malachi.
